Promotion Method
  1. Each participant will be given an activity ticket which will enable him or her to enjoy a traditional Taiwanese outdoor banquet using fresh summer produce and other food ingredients. (The estimated value of the sumptuous meal is NT$1,000.)
  2. Traditional Taiwanese performances such as dragon and lion dances, and demonstrations of traditional crafts such as dough figurine making, sugar scallion making, and scholar cakes making, will be offered at the site. The program for traditional cultural performances and the stalls for showcasing traditional crafts may be adjusted in accordance with the situation.
  3. A gift coupon made available as part of the Tour Taiwan Years campaign “Four-season Giveaways” program will be given to each participant. Participants will also receive a bonus gift in the form of an entrance ticket to the Taiwan Culinary Exhibition to be held at Taipei World Trade Center, Aug.20 to 23, 2009. In addition, the Tainan City Government will present each participant a souvenir from Tainan and a tourist coupon booklet for discounted shopping in the city.

Tentative Itinerary

Time Schedule
16:00~18:00 Tour Anping Old Fort and stalls where traditional crafts are demonstrated.
18:00~18:30 Tourists enter the banquet site and take their seats.
18:30~21:00 Outdoor Banquet Activity begins.Traditional Taiwanese-style outdoor banquet dishes are served.(The activity will be conducted in Chinese, but translations in English, Japanese, and Korean available. The translations provided may be adjusted depending on the nationalities of the participants.)
21:00 Guests depart.(It is suggested that participants stay in hotels in Tainan City and County for their convenience, so that they can further explore the night life in Taiwan’s old and culture-rich capital.)
